Hallo Family!
Where to begin.
Tuesday night we got a call from President at 10:40 yup that's right. After bedtime. Well Sister Breuer got a change in her call, she is now in manteca and training!... and still shot gunning the area. Haha I don't think either of us got to sleep very quickly.
Wednesday morning we when to the mission office and had trainers training and picked up our missionaries, then got to work! My new comp is Sister Twitchell, from New Mexico. She is going to be such an awesome missionary. She is such an awesome missionary. She is a little more serious, but I think we will have fun. :)
So Friday was our bike day. Sister Twitchell learned how to use gears... kind of important when biking around here! She was a trooper though!
Saturday was awesome! Lizzy Ridley, the ward mission leaders daughter, got baptized and asked me to give the talk on the Holy Ghost, so we made a deal and she invited non-member friends :) we got lunch then came back and had the baptism for the woods family. parents are coming back to church and the 3 oldest got baptized. we picked them up from the boundary change. cute family! :)
haha ok, so before the baptism the closet with the white clothes was locked as was the font. eventually the Primary pres came to the rescue and opened the clothes closet, but we never found the key to the font, so Bishop and the 1st counselor ripped the doors open... the power of the priesthood haha :) It was good fun! and the baptism and conformation yesterday was beautiful!
Being a trainer will be good for me. I am already learning so much from Sister Twitchell. She is great and having to be an example and also the fire she has pushes me to work harder and be a better missionary. I love it!
Love you all!
Sister Hannah Parkinson
PS from Karen, she clarified in another note that "Shot-gunning" is where she and her companion are both new to the area.
